An idea for a topic - home exchange: Home Base Holidays has been running a home exchange service (based in London) since 1985. As well as saving on the costs of accommodation, and enabling travellers to get to know an area and meet the locals rather than mainly other tourists, swapping homes makes sense environmentally too - rather than leave your home empty while you are away, you are making best use of it by having exchange guests staying and taking care of it. Also, when living in an exchange partners’ home, you aren’t contributing to the wasteful hotel industry.
